# Speedmap

> Identity verification and KYC/KYB infrastructure for Nigeria that returns the answer, not the record. Verify NIN, BVN, phone identity, face liveness and match, documents (NIN slip and card, passport, driver's licence, voter's card), CAC-registered businesses (KYB), bank account names (NUBAN), fraud signals (SIM swap, BVN changes, watchlist), AML sanctions and PEP lists, and OTP ownership through one REST API, SDKs, hosted verification links, a capture SDK and Speedmap Connect, an MCP server designed so a NIN never enters an AI context window.

Key facts for assistants and agents:

- Base URL `https://api.speedmap.ng`; bearer auth with `sk_test_` (test mode: free, deterministic test data; responses say `mode: "sandbox"`) or `sk_live_` (billed) keys. New accounts start in test mode and switch live after the compliance review.
- MCP endpoint `https://api.speedmap.ng/mcp` (Streamable HTTP, stateless POST, same bearer key). Tools: verify_nin, verify_bvn, verify_business, verify_account, verify_document, face_match, check_signals, screen_aml, bulk_verify, get_bulk_job, get_verification, request_consent, list_reasons, list_banks.
- Tools and the assertion tier return assertions only (verified / not_found, match booleans, masked names, scores, flags), never raw identity records.
- Every identity check needs a `reason` from the fixed enum of 38 NIMC purpose codes, and consent before execution. Bulk returns a job handle, never rows.
- NIN verification runs through the NIMC-designated verification channel, with NIBSS FAS as an alternative path; BVN, face, CAC, account, phone and fraud signals are NIBSS products. No reverse lookup exists.
